Today’s Cinderella spotlight is on junior ANNIE GIANAKOS, who plays Portia!
“I have many reasons for my passion for theatre, but I especially love it because of the amazing people you can meet through it. I continue to connect with new people at every rehearsal, and have met some of my closest friends through Glass Theatre. Participating in theatre presents you with a great opportunity to do this while simultaneously having lots of fun!”
“Who doesn’t love a classic fairytale? Also, It’s nice to see a light-hearted show in the ECG auditorium every once in a while, as recently we’ve left audiences with sadder, though equally-entertaining, productions (Bang Bang You’re Dead, The Lottery, Rent). Basically, this is a show that everyone can enjoy!”
Annie’s Experience with Theatre:
Annie has been a member of Glass Theatre since freshman year, first appearing in Pirates of Penzance as a Cop! Since then, she has been in The Children’s Hour as Catherine, Pippin as a Dancer, Rent as a Homeless Person, and Bang Bang You’re Dead as Ensemble. She also played Cruella De Vil in 101 Dalmatians at the Academy of Fine Arts, as well as the Sour Kangaroo in Seussical, Narrator in James and the Giant Peach, and Prosecutor in Trial of Goldilocks, all at Linkhorne Middle.
More About Annie:
“Aside from theatre, I enjoy playing lacrosse, guitar, and with my dog, Angel!”
